Very easy install - almost plug and play on a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi Automatic Transmission - Gas. Minimal install options would have taken me about 10-15 mins, there are only two wires outside of the included T-Harness that need to be connected, but I overlooked one of them that needed to be connected - it was only used on a 2010 Model. Basically, it was unplug ignition cable, plug it into the T-Harness and then plug the other end of the T-Harness back into where the ignition cable was connected. No cutting or splicing into existing wiring, only cutting a wire in the T-Harness and connecting a wire to the EVO-ALL to it and then connecting another wire from one plug of the EVO-ALL to the T-Harness. It came with really old firmware installed, and with the actual remote option turned off. The seller vaguely stated it comes preprogrammed but failed to say the updater module was REQUIRED. Lessco Sales is selling you a bone stock, NON plug and play module. I decided to buy the updater along with this just in case. Good thing I did. Updated to latest firmware, customized the options to my liking, and installed. Literally 20 minutes of actual labor later, and now my wife's Caravan is remote starting. The unit has been flawless, unfortunately the seller takes one star away. |
